A guide to internet marketing should be easy to understand, however, much of the information on building a business online is confusing and has a protracted learning curve. This is the reason many new internet marketers fail.

One of the greatest mistakes that many new internet marketers make is to rely heavily on online marketing tools. Those tools usually come at a cost that rarely meets or exceeds the expectations of the business. Primarily, because most website marketing tools are not designed with real business practices in mind. Rather they are designed to hurry up and get traffic (relative or not) to your website. If the traffic to your site is not interested in your product, of course you will not succeed in profiting.

True website promotion is all about providing two very easy to understand concepts: First you must provide traffic with solutions to their needs, and secondly you must provide quality content that Google and other search engines WANT to index. Failure or lack to provide both of these factors will result in negligible results. In other words, if the search engine finds your content irrelevant, you will not get indexed high enough to get traffic from a search engine. In the same respect if visitors do not find the answers they seek in your content, they will obviously leave.

The belief that some internet marketing software will bring lots of traffic to your site means nothing if none of that traffic converts. Real online marketing tools are the tools that provide a conduit for traffic and search engines to appreciate and use your content. The majority of internet marketing software lacks this ability.
